Here is some basic information about Sherman's historical business journey.  This data was collected from interviews, websites and other research sources and has Sherman's permission to publish it on this site  It appears that Sherman has taken his employment history and turned it into a combination business/hobbies visionary archive.  We found it to be a interesting journey at the very least.

Cooking: Chef Sherman started in the food industry in 1970 cooking and managing his way through the business. After a few years of owning a restaurant he decided to go into consulting and catering. In 1985 he formed 'Gastronomic by Dantz' a consulting firm to bring food service businesses to the Flint Michigan area. Finally in 2001 he formed the 'OKatering Company' in Flint. In 2004 he moved the company to Grand Blanc, MI and created a multi-year plan to become U.S. regional during 2010 and global in 2012 with availability in Europe via his Grille Masters Cafe™ franchise association.  In 2002 his daughter Ashley Brooke was named Vice-President and the future of the OKatering Company.

Jazz: Way back in 1967 Sherman began spinning records for local dance venues in the Flint area as a member of the Esquires club and eventually founded the Soul Enchanters.  In 1972 he received training from the ITT affiliate Electronic Institute of Technology (EIT) in Detroit Michigan certifying in communications as a Radio Broadcast Engineer.  Calling himself (Dantz) in the early years, he started mixing Jazz with Rock, Pop and R&B into a fusion of music which sounds a lot like Smooth Jazz today (umm, I wonder where this ideal came from?) Although today he no longer plays the music, he is considered by some as a one of the few true Jazz historians following the music for over five decades.  In 2001 he formed JazzeOne Production a musical consulting firm that strives on promoting new jazz artist and sounds. As of this writing in 2006 he is in the process of creating the Dantzler Jazz Hall of Fame derived from his Vinyl record album collections.  At present he is contemplating the writing of a book about the history of Jazz the genre from his perspective (he won't tell us the title). In 2002 his daughter Megan Brittany was named Vice-President and the future of JazzeOne Production.

Consultant: From 1989-1997 he sold residential and commercial real estate in Genesee, Lapeer and Shiawassee Counties in Michigan.  After retirement from selling he became a consultant and formed 'Houseaboutus' Real Estate Exchange.  While selling real estate he developed a love for Computers and attended Mott Community College Computer Information System program.  Upon completion in 1994 he was hired by Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and became a technology analyst, consultant and engineer. In 1999 he created the S.D. Lowry Corporation which became the parent company for future ventures and its IT consulting division SD Lowry Exchange to manage the infrastructure for future companies.  His wife Becky serves as Vice President and CFO for the parent company.

To help keep these companies under one legal manageable umbrella he formed Dantzler Holdings (a private company) in 2006 becoming Chairman and CEO.
